    • (Information included for reference purpose: QI Core STU 3.2 Update was available for two-weeks Members Only review, the link to the specification: QI Core STU 3.2. HL7 wiki comment page was setup with instructions for submitting comments and summary of the updates that were incorporated: This STU update to the QI-Core profiles incorporates updates to the US-Core profiles, version 1.1.0. Specifically, it changes the QICore-Encounter and QICore-PractitionerRole profiles to be derived from the new USCore-Encounter and USCore-PractitionerRole profiles, rather than directly from the base resources, as well as changes the QICore-Coverage profile type element to bind to the SOP Payer value set.)

  • Review Structured Documents and Public Health PSS for National Health Safety Network and consider CQI as an interested party [Zabrina Gonzaga, Lantana]
    • Zabrina reviewed the PSS. Under this PSS, there will be two implementation guides: "HL7 Implementation Guide for CDA® Release 2: NHSN Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Reports for Long Term Care Facilities (LTCF-CDA) and HL7 Implementation Guide for FHIR® Release 4: NHSN Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Reports for Long Term Care Facilities (LTCF-FHIR)"
    • Zabrina indicated that this is for long care care, and would like the CQI WG to be aware of this project. This is planned for Jan 2018 WG ballot.
    • Zabrina asked if the CQI WG is interested in being listed as Interested Party.
    • Juliet Skapik indicated that she thinks this is relevant to what CQI is doing, and would be favor of listing as interested party.
    • There is no existing measure specifically related to this project, but there are some interests expressed on the call to be as interested party, but not enough support to be as co-sponsor of this PSS.
    • Juliet Skapik made a motion to be listed as Interested Party on the PSS/Bryn seconded the motion but with this amendment: where profiles are considered for this project, it should consider US Core profiles for any overlaps and gaps. Juliet agreed with adding the amendment to the motion. Approve/Abstain/Oppose: 20/0/0

  • Floyd reviewed the San Antonio Jan 2019 Working Group Agenda

  • Floyd asked group for anything to add before adjourn
    • Rob McClure made an announcement that NLM has announced yesterday the launch of Intensional Value Set Definition Functionality in the VSAC Authoring Tool.
      • (From the NLM annoucement: Through the VSAC Authoring user interface, value set authors can algorithmically define value sets with logical rule-based Boolean clauses and hierarchy operators, leveraging the structure and hierarchies of terminologies. Logically-defined value sets, combined with the value set author’s guidance, can incorporate future changes as terminologies evolve to add or remove concepts, increasing efficiency and accuracy of value set creation and maintenance.)
    • Bryn told the group that both the CDS Hook and FHIR Path ballot reconciliation packages are posted. Notifications should have been received for those who need to withdraw their negative votes.
    • Yan mentioned that Viet's presentation slide deck from Thursday's DEQM meeting (12/20) was uploaded to the CQI WG document area, the link to the slide deck is included in this meeting minutes.
