Messaging Infrastructure Layer refers to the runtime components that facilitate HL7 messages delivery from Sender to Receiver. It includes two main concepts: Messaging Adapter and Messaging Protocol.
Messaging Infrastructure Layer components are generally off-the-shelf implementations that have no knowledge of the specific payload being transported or the HL7 domain.
