This is a discussion of the need for providing structured names.

Known Use Cases:

1) EMEA: Need to provide name explicitly broken into a series of parts - this will refvlect the structure found in the IDMP project.

2) France: Hospital systems need to be able to structure names acording to locally defined rules. This requires name parts to be able to reorganise the structures.

Other uses have been suggested, but the group felt it was definately possible to meet those objectives with existing modelling.

Process:

Detailed use cases will be provided by the people with the requirement. An attempt will then be made to meet these requirements using the existing model.
