Project Scope
This project builds upon the work of the Value Set Definition and deeply integrates with the Value Set Binding Semantics Project. This project seeks to define a standard that specifies what content belongs in a value set expansion, how that can be defined, and will include how an expansion may be constrained for a particular use, such as the FHIR Expansion Profile.

Items that people have desired to have control over in an Expansion that we do not currently have a way to specify
- Display Strings with each coded concept
- Human language of strings in the expansion
- Activity Status of the coded concept
- Concept relationships
- Other metadata for a coded concept that exist in the referenced code system
- Code System metadata (such as the IP information) with the expansion
