Adopted MnM motion: There are two mechanisms of binding (an attribute or data type property to a value set) that we agreed to support:
- Design-time binding: this is binding an attribute or data type property directly to a value set. In this case the vocabulary domain of the ancestor model governs the semantics of the binding.
- Runtime binding: this is binding an attribute or data type property to a vocabulary domain that is resolved at runtime to a specific value set based on realm and runtime environment. In this case the vocabulary domain is an essential key along with the context/realm to resolve the reference to a value set.
