Mr. Adam Everyman has had coverage under a government healthcare plan in which he is required to pay a monthly premium of $54.00. Due to inflammation and pain in his right hip, he has been unable to work for the past year. Based on advice from the government healthcare plan client service representative Mr. Everyman is advised to apply for premium assistance through an online web application.
Mr. Everyman navigates to the online premium assistance application web site and proceeds through the introduction and information screens to the first interactive input screen. Mr. Everyman is required to enter his Personal Health Number, Legal first name, all the data elements required for themselves and, if applicable, their spouse. The web application then initiates a validation with RPB backend and a response message is returned to the web. Based on type of response (error or success) the web will display the next logical screen.
