Discussion

Discussion of RPS Scope

The group needs to delineate what pieces of a regulatory product submission should be part of the message and which parts are for other content-rich standards or documentation. After we complete the iteration 2 requirements for multi-product and multi-regulator submissions, we will begin to provide a conceptual framework for what RPS aims to handle and what can be address elsewhere (e.g., common product model, etc.)

Common Product Model

The group will continue with the basics required for multi-product submissions until the RPS group gathers their requirements for the common product model CMET; at this time if there are requirements not covered by that standard, we will investigate whether not the requirement belongs as part of the RPS message or the CPM or another standard altogether.

The common product model meeting will be scheduled to follow the Iteration 2 requirements in order provide an overview of the current common product model. The CPM will be a project under Orders and Observations and should have a list serve set up shortly. Please subscribe to follow progress by that group.

Open Discussion

Joel Finkle volunteered to work with the Electronic Document Management Reference Model (aka EDM Reference Model, a non-standards project from the DIA Document and Records Management SIAC).

The RPS project should be aware of the EU - Reference Data Model (RDM).

Next Requirements Subgroup Meeting will be held - Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 7:30 AM EST.
