Background

openEHR published an "Adverse Reaction" archetype which has been used to represent both the "allergy/intolerance" condition and allergic or intolerance reactions when a susceptible person is exposed to allergens or substances he/she has intolerance to.

openEHR has engaged HL7 and FHIR members in a harmonization efforts to produce a model that may be accepted by the respective stakeholder groups.

openEHR offered the "adverse reaction" archetype for public review through its collaborative portal:

The PCWG Allergy/Intolerance project team is one of the stakeholder groups in this harmonization activity.
