  1. Topics specifically catering to those with prior knowledge of RIMBAA.
  2. Administrative (max 30 minutes)
    • Agenda Review/Additions/Changes (max 5 minutes)

    • Announcements (max 10 minutes)
      • Rene: status update on the v3 implementation book
    • Formal approval of the outcome of the e-mail vote for FTSD representative
      • MOTION: To find the procedure to elect the RIMBAA FTSD representative by e-mail vote to be acceptable, and to accept/reconfirm its outcome (Tony Julian, with 5 out of 9 votes) as reported by the Tally (Rene Spronk). The outcome has been communicated to HQ on August 24.
    • Report from the HL7 Rio WGM (Rene, max 15 minutes)
    • Planning of next meeting
  3. Various product/concept presentations (te be added)
    • Davide/Andrea: JavaSIG 2010 (what is your final decision about it ? take it or not ?)
    • Creation of a Java based HL7 v3 Datatypes R2 library
    • Davide/Andrea: creation of an open-source Dictionary Manager to manage OIDs and VOCs (code systems, value sets...) in 1st instance as a client-server program (where eclipse is the client and mysql is the server). A web application will follow next year for search and retrieve and download.
  4. Discussion of RIMBAA Issues

September 15, 14:00-17:00

  1. Workshop with Italian attendees, most of whom will be new to RIMBAA
    • This part of the agenda will mostly be about providing an overview of some of the key RIMBAA issues; and allowing (italian) vendors/organizations who have used RIMBAA principles (without necessarily being aware that there is such a thing as RIMBAA) to present their applications and approaches.
  2. Overview of Key RIMBAA Issues
  3. Italian RIMBAA experiences
    1. A RIM Based IHE XDS Registry / Repository, using a RIM based database (Andrea Poli)
      • O3Enterprise about creating an IHE XDS Registry solution based on the RIM instead of an ebXML DB structure. The Repository itself is currently not based on the RIM.
    2. RIM-based implementation of a COPD gold-protocol (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) (Saverio Sabina, Mariarita Minerva-CaribelIt)
    3. RIM based Patient Summary at a Regional level
      • (speaker to be confirmed)

September 16, 09:00-13:00

  1. Topics catering to newbies as well as those with prior knowledge of RIMBAA.
  2. The use of RIM based services in the UMCG RIMBAA project (Michael van de Zel, University Hospital Groningen (UMCG), the Netherlands)
  3. Use of CMET-like CRUD entity services in the Nijmegen University Hospital (the Netherlands). (Ewout Kramer, Furore)
    • Ewout: I construct them by comparing domains and then figuring out how to split the domains into manageable entities. These entities are small, and I also use a kind of reference indicator so one entity can refer to another entity. Large interactions are thus split-up (decomposed) into smaller, independent crud entities that are stored separately and can only reference each other. This way I try to solve the Object nets versus object trees storage issues. It also makes the store much more approachable and documentable for developers new to v3, I hope. I am storing each entity as a unit in its XML form in an eXist XML database. Splitting transactions and reconstructing them is done using XQuery.
  4. Various RIMBAA/MDD principles using modules from the PHI Technology product suite (Andrea/Davide)
    • RIMBAA scheduler
    • Outpatient management system
    • e-Prescription
