NICTIZ is the Dutch National IT institute for Healthcare (NICTIZ). The role of NICTIZ is to coordinate the creation of ‘a high quality national Electronic Patient Record and the underlying national infrastructure’. This infratsructure is known as AORTA.
NICTIZ will strive to reach consensus among healthcare providers, healthcare insurers and other stakeholders to create the technical and legal conditions to improve healthcare delivery.
