  • Medication Track
    • still looking for implementers to sign up
      • Epic - assumes that the team will be signing up
        • Daniel to followup with FHIR Lead
      • Need to recruit clients
    • Search across resources using common search parameters
      • Discussion of how to query for inpatient medications - why would you query for MedicationStatements and not MedicationRequest
        • could include encounter via context
        • if historical - status of active may not bring back any medications - may be end dated
        • change use case to "current" hospital stay and add second one for "most recent/historical" hospital stay
        • Category filter - may not make sense for inpatient orders
        • Use Cases
          • Get all medications for patient -prescribed or consumed = historical
          • Current snapshot of active medications
            • filter by status
            • filter by category
          • Get me medications for any encounter
          • Get only MAR orders
            • MedRequests only (no statement)
            • filter by encounter
        • Number of Queries
          • 2 queries
            • MedicationStatement
            • MedicationRequest - may result in duplication issues - Cerner and Epic create a MedicationStatement from MedicationRequest
          • across resource query using common parameters
          • only MedicationStatements

further discussion will be done via Zulip Chat
