FINAL RIM Ballot Reconciliation

All Actions are documented in the RIM Ballot Reconciliation Spreadsheet uploaded to HL7.org The specific actions taken today are:

Number:5 (row 8) from A Kreisler

Initial note:The initial vote was Not Persuasive With Mod. As of yesterday, the MOD was not agreed to, and this becomes just Not Persuasive. Note that his proposal was to change a code system that is NOT in the RIM Scope. This is the primary argument for Not Persuasive.

Action: Found "Not Related" by vote of 7-0-0

Number 37 (row 40) from G Grieve

Initial note: The original was Persuasive with Mod, with an intention to make the MODs for the current RIM. After discussion yesterday, the MODs are not "ready" for approval and have not had adequate discussion. The current proposal retains "Persuasive with Mod", but the MOD will be the addition of an OpenIssue and agreement to address these in a subsequent RIM version.

Action: Found "Persuasive with Mod" by vote of 7-0-0

Number 96 (row 99) from L McKenzie

Initial Note: This item was resolved as Persuasive With Mod during the 7/10 Harmonization Meeting but does NOT have a recorded Affirmative vote from Reconciliation.

Action: Found "Persuasive With Mod" by vote of 7-0-0

Number 97 (row 100) from L McKenzie

Initial Note: This item was resolved as Persuasive during the 7/10 Harmonization Meeting but does NOT have a recorded Affirmative vote from Reconciliation.

Action: Found "Persuasive" by vote of 7-0-0

Number 98 (row 101) from L McKenzie

Action: Found "Persuasive" by vote of 7-0-0

Number 84 (row 87) from L McKenzie

Initial Note: This item was unanimously found Not Persuasive in Kyoto, and no change was made during Harmonization. It is raised here solely because the voter asked for face-to-face discussion.

Action: Found "Not Persuasive with Mod" by vote of 5-1-1

Modifications: Add open issues as follows:

  • Add OpenIssue to Heir classes reading: "HL7 is actively pursuing a solution that will allow deprecation of this classes and their removal from the RIM in a future release."
  • Add OpenIssue to Transmission Class saying: "This class is being actively considered for being split between two distinct classes dealing with transmission and contractual issues. Thus it may be deprecated in a future RIM release."
  • Add OpenIssue to the Communications Subject Area saying: All of the classes in this Subject Area, and its child subject Areas are subject to major revision as HL7 defines and adopts its Enterprise Architecture Framework, and the behavioral model it contains.".
