Issue

Lab has used the classes Entry, Cluster and Battery, as defined in the RIM, to provide a structure to their messages. Without this change to CSP, Lab will be unable to constrain the recursions within the Lab models, limit the vocabularies for act.code by class and will not be able to define a constrained structure to carry microbiology results using different class codes as requested by suppliers. This relaxation will allow the required classes to have appropriate act relationships as used for these classes in the current Lab RMIMs. Lab is currently RIM compliant and meets the business requirements of the Lab SIG. CSP is extended according to the criteria specified in the CSP documentation and should be supporting the ability to provide a suitable constrained pattern for use in the EHR.

Recommendation

  • Classcode of the Organizer in the CSP Choice is constrained to ActClassOrganizer
  • The constraint on the Act is relaxed so that ActClassOrganizer are excluded, not the whole of ActClassContainer
