Agenda

Agenda Topics

  1. agenda review
  2. ballot overview:
    1. clarifications
    2. comments grouped in spreadsheet on wiki Biggest categories:
      1. editorial pass - Mark K has offered. But first, finish analysis.
      2. rationalize/harmonize terms (classes, categories)

Minutes

Minutes/Conclusions Reached:

  1. For clarity: put together an editorial plan so that contributors can participate in writing & revision
  2. Classifications
    1. Review of class diagram
      1. rationalize levels. E.g., "phenomena" have "present" and "absent," but "action" doesn't.
      2. distinguish classes from examples.
      3. distinguish "inferred" classes (e.g., "absence based on empty query result") from assertions
      4. clarify these classes are statements, not states (epistemological, not ontological). E..g., the state of asplenia is semantically the same as the state of absence of spleen, but we hypothesize that the positive assertion of the condition supports most requirements, and we don't need to model the state of absence explicitly.
