Issue

Within the RIM, the Attachment class is associated with Message. Attachments can also be associated with Batches.

Recommendation(s)

• Add an association between Attchment and Batch to the RIM.
• Alternatively (subject to backwards compatibility rules):
  • Add an association between Attachment and Transmission
  • Remove association between Attachment and Message

Rationale

Within the RIM, the Attachment class is associated with Message. Attachments can also be associated with Batches.

Resolution

WITHDRAWN during March 2006 harmonization. Attachment is associated with Transmission, Batch is a specialization of transmission. The Attachment class isn't shown in RIM figures of the v3 publication package which caused confusion to occur.
