This page provides a complete listing of all proposals that have been made for FHIR resources and proposals WHETHER APPROVED OR NOT. More detailed lists are available:

Proposals are subject to a FHIR Resource Governance Process that will determine whether the proposal is accepted. Acceptance will result in the creation of the necessary starter files in the FHIR SVN project, as well as gForge access for the identified participants.

Note that the proposal represents a 'point in time' description of the resource - it is accurate at the time that the proposal was created, but subsequently the details may change as the committee develops the resource. The FHIR specification is the single source of truth for the contents of any resource.

To create a new resource proposal, please use Template:FHIR Resource Proposal template, or for a profile proposal use Template:FHIR Profile Proposal template, and follow the instructions included there-in. When the proposal is complete, send an e-mail to fhirresourcerequest@hl7.org to initiate the consideration process.
