Proposed CDA Implementation Guide Quality Criteria

This page is the entry point for quality criteria that needs to be considered for inclusion in the list of required CDA Implementation Guide Quality criteria. Teams identifying criteria that need to be evaluated will record the quality criteria on this page. The CDA Implementation Guide Quality sub-group will then discuss and possibly approve for addition to the formal list. The proposed items that will be discussed will be identified on the agenda for the next meeting of the CDA I-Guide Quality sub-group. Items that are approved will be added to the CDA Implementation Guide Quality Criteria wiki page. Items that do not achieve approval will be documented on this page as Considered but NOT Approved.

Items are added to this page using the following template:

Section: <replace with one of Title or Templates or Version or Value Sets or Examples or Extensions or Validation guidance>

Proposal: <the description of the quality criteria>

Section: Templates

Proposal: Need a specification on what is to be stated explicitly and what is not, especially with regard to act relationship and participation classes

Section: Templates

Proposal: Need a specification on how to phrase dependent constraints; i.e., the "such that" problem. Solution may be assisted by selection of a concrete constraint specification formalism (OCL, Antler, AML, etc.)

Proposal: Need guidance on how deep section numbering should go. In other words, if we already have a 4th level heading like 1.1.1.10, do we just stop there and make everything else prose, do we consider sub-items as their own 4th level headings (i.e. flatten it), or do we create a 5th level heading like 1.1.1.10.1?
