• Report on Nathan’s updates
  • John provided an update on the materials that Nathan has been working on – these documents are still in draft form and will continue to be updated.
    • Immunization User Group Mission and Charter
    • Immunization User Group proposed Agendas
  • John also reported that he had asked Nathan to put a Request for a New User Group proposal together for the Immunization User Group
  • It was agreed that for now all of these documents can be sent to the User Group Task Force
  • Outstanding: HL7 SOU – we have not received this document as of Feb 18th, 2014
• User Group Governance and Hierarchy discussion
  • A recommendation was made to create HL7 UG Governance documents.
    • A suggestion was made to use the HL7 GOM as a template for creating the UG Governance documentation.
      • This document would include content for voting for Co-Chairs and term length, etc. Example: 2 year, staggered terms.
    • Another suggestion was to create a draft or adopt the existing Decision Making Practices document for the User Groups.
  • A recommendation was made that an HL7 Board member serve as a liaison to the HL7 User Group Governance team.
• Tracking Memberships for User Groups
  • HL7 is working on a subscription enhancement to the current HL7 membership registration interface.
    • This enhancement will provide access to an HL7 web site for subscribing to an HL7 User Group. This site would be used to join the HL7 Immunization User Group. Members may be:
      • Existing HL7 members (free as part of their HL7 membership)
      • Existing AIRA members (free as part of their AIRA membership)
      • Non members (fee based)
    • HL7 will capture name, email, postal address, and other information as part of the registration process.
• User Group Plan – target date for communication to the HL7 board – April, 2014.
